Antonio Conte has urged his Chelsea players to keep pushing themselves following Sunday’s 4-0 win over Manchester United.

A first-minute goal from Pedro set the tone as Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante all went on to join him on the scoresheet at a rocking Stamford Bridge.

Conte once again used his preferred three-man defence on Sunday and his team seem to be adapting well to their new setup, having won the trio of games since switching formation.

Sunday’s win continued Chelsea’s title push, with just one point now separating the top five teams in the Premier League. Wednesday sees them face West Ham in the EFL Cup before a trip to Southampton on Sunday.

Following their drop in form in September, the Blues, who are 8.00 to top the standings, seem to be hitting the heights again and Conte’s preferred way of playing already appears to be getting the best out of his squad.

No European football means the Londoners have an advantage over the majority of their rivals and their Italian coach knows how to win titles, having won Serie A three times while in charge at Juventus.

The boss admitted after Sunday’s game that he was pleased with his side’s progress in recent weeks and has urged his players to continue their improvement.

Conte told Sky Sports: “I am pleased with the performance, we started well, moved the ball quickly, created chances to score the goal.

I see the commitment in training and the players deserve this. “We are improving, we must continue to work, only through the work we can improve.”

Chelsea are 1.75 to win on Wednesday at the London Stadium, with the draw after 90 minutes 3.60 and the Hammers priced at 4.50.
