Andres Iniesta insists Barcelona are still “the best in the world” despite coming in for criticism this season.

Barcelona have moved away from their classical style of football this season under the guidance of Luis Enrique, with many believing he has adapted a more direct approach.

The change has been forced in an attempt to accommodate the attacking trio of Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi.

They have still scored 62 goals in 22 La Liga matches this season and a run of five straight wins leaves them just a point adrift of Real Madrid at the top of the table.

Iniesta never doubted their quality and insists whatever the style of football, they are still the best team around.

“In my opinion my team-mates are the best in the world. I have no doubts about it,” he told Perform.

“Having said that, we need to focus on giving our best and help them to keep up the great level they are showing on the pitch.

“We need to carry on improving and making our team-mates look better as at the end of the day this is a team sport and we all have the same aims.”

Barcelona are back in action on Sunday as Levante visit Camp Nou in La Liga.

Iniesta and co are 1.05 favourites to win the game, with Levante huge outsiders at 37.44.
