Barcelona skipper Andres Iniesta insists that it is not easy to attract forwards to the club knowing they will have to compete with Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.

The Blaugrana, who are priced at 1.70 to win the league, have strengthened the squad this summer as they look to build on the success of last season’s La Liga and Copa del Rey triumphs.

Barcelona have added Samuel Umtiti, Lucas Digne, Andre Gomes and Denis Suarez to their ranks this summer but are still lacking in attacking options.

Luis Enrique relies heavily on the trio of Messi, Suarez and Neymar but doesn’t have much depth to choose from if he needs reinforcements.

Sporting director Robert Fernandez has admitted that he is looking for new additions this summer and a whole host of names have been linked.

Manchester City newboy Nolito, Sevilla’s Kevin Gameiro and Atletico Madrid pair Luciano Vietto and Angel Correa have all been suggested as targets.

Barca’s vice president of finance, Susana Monje, have recently revealed that they have between 20million euros and 24million euros left to spend and expects it all to go towards a forward.

Iniesta believes that it is always going to be hard to convince someone to sign in the knowledge that they will be limited in their playing time. He said: “With the forwards we have it is not an easy situation.

“But I also believe it is something tempting, considering the club Barca is.

The player who comes will be one more and will be bring his hard work. Whoever comes will not be thinking about playing more or less, but in adding his quality and his talent.”
