Aleix Vidal insists he isn’t looking to leave Barcelona and is desperate to cement a spot as a regular at Camp Nou.
The former Sevilla man appeared to be way down the pecking order earlier in the season but has seen some action in recent weeks, having started against Hercules in the Copa del Rey and Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League on Tuesday.
There had been reports Vidal could be on the move in the January transfer window but the full-back is keen to stick with the Catalan giants.
Vidal also denied any fall-out with coach Luis Enrique and he feels his patience is beginning to pay off. “With the coach I have not had any problems,” said Vidal.
“The best thing is how I handled the situation. “The boss is the boss. He always plays those who deserve it.
If he did not play me maybe it’s because I was missing something. “Hopefully the situation is changing, it would be silly to say I want to leave here.
“For my part, there is no intention to leave. I have a contract, I’m at the best club in the world.” Barcelona are 2.60 to win La Liga outright ahead of their trip to struggling Osasuna on Saturday.
Barca are 1.20 to win the match and 3.75 to come out on top with a -3 handicap. Osasuna are 15.00 to grab a win over Enrique’s men and a draw is available at 7.00.
