Stuart Broad and Graeme Swann will both be available for their county side Nottinghamshire for the Yorkshire Bank 40 final against Glamorgan.

The duo were amongst the senior England stars who were rested for the current NatWest Series against Australia after a gruelling summer which culminated in Ashes success.

Despite this, Nottinghamshire confirmed in a statement that both bowling all-rounder Broad and off-spinner Swann will be available for the Lord’s clash having been released by the ECB. The final is set to take place next Saturday, September 21.

Their availability will provide Notts with a huge boost as they try and secure their first piece of silverware in three years. Swann has played for his county side in one-day victories over Kent and Northants, but Broad has yet to make any limited-overs appearances for the side this season.

The duo will travel to Durham next week in order to train with their team-mates ahead of their LV= County Championship Division One clash against leaders Durham at Chester-le-Street, which begins on Tuesday.

Broad tweeted: “Delighted to be available for the YB40 Final for The Outlaws. Been training hoping that would be the case! Gonna be a special day at Lord’s.”
