Dwayne Wade insists he will not get involved in any attempts from the Miami Heat to sign LeBron James during the off-season.
Wade recently returned to the Heat after brief spells with the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers and he was welcomed back with open arms after winning three NBA titles during his first spell with Miami.
Two of those championship successes came alongside LeBron, who spent four years with Miami between 2010 and 2014, but Wade insists he will not try to entice his former team-mate back to the American Airlines Arena.
Speaking about getting involved in bringing LeBron back to Miami, Wade told South Florida radio: “No. No, I don’t have anything to do with it, none of that.
“One thing I know is he makes his own decisions. So when we get to that point, hopefully he takes a good look at the place he’s at and gives that real consideration, and then goes from there. It’s his decision and I don’t want nothing to do with it at all.”
For the time being Wade’s sole focus is on helping the Heat reach the end of season playoffs, although that hope remains firmly in the balance, as Miami currently sit eighth in the Eastern Conference standings, while they have lost six of their last seven games.
Next up for the Heat is an away clash with the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday and they are priced at 3.60 to secure a victory from that contest, while Philly are available at 1.30.
