Daniel James completed his Manchester United medical on Thursday but the Wales starlet’s £18million move from Swansea City is not expected to be officially announced until next week.

The 21-year-old was snapped by photographers as he arriving at United’s Aon Training Complex for the tests decked out in his Wales training kit.

And he will fly out with Ryan Giggs’ squad for Saturday’s crunch Euro 2020 qualifier against Croatia on Saturday before any deal is trumpeted by the Premier League club.

James scored Wales’ goal as Giggs got his first qualifying campaign off to a good start with a 1-0 home win over Slovakia in March and the winger is likely to be a key figure for the manager in Osijek on Saturday.

Croatia are firm 1.62 favourites to pick up the win at but Wales will fancy their chances of causing an upset at 6.00 or grabbing a draw at 4.00.

Manchester United, who finished sixth last season, have reportedly agreed to pay Swansea £15million up front with a further £3million to come in achievable bonus payments.

Swansea, who lost manager Graham Potter to Brighton last month, are into the third week of their search for a new boss but that has not delayed the negotiations.
