David Beckham wants to take part in Paris Saint-Germain’s match against Barcelona in Champions League tie.

The Englishman was in the starting XI in their 2-2 draw in the first leg of the quarterfinal at Parc des Princes, though he was criticised by the media following his performance in the game.

According to Beckham, if things go according to his plan, he would feature again on Wednesday night, but he admits being unsure of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans.

“I do not know [if I’ll start] – I’m not the coach,” the 37-year-old told reporters.

“Of course I want to start but that’s the same for all players in these big games. We’ll see.”

Les Parisiens took a 2-0 win in Ligue 1 against Rennes to warm-up for the Catalans at Camp Nou. In the game, Beckham set-up Zlatan Ibrahimovic for a goal in the closing stages of the match.
