Although they haven’t faced in the octagon for the second time around, McGregor-Diaz presscon turns out nasty as it ends with bottle-throwing war.

The pre-fight video has created buzz on social media where both camps ended with bottles, cans and even cups of liquid being thrown. In addition to that, Nate Diaz was seen walking out and speaks out to media that a little girl was hit by one of those objects being thrown to the camp’s direction.

In the video, Conor McGregor was seen throwing multiple cans of energy drinks going to the direction of the fans. However, when interviewed about the whole altercation, the Irish fighter told it was simply a way to up some hydration to people.

According to him, he saw people panicking and thought it was just a case of dehydration truly because the place was surrounded by desert. However, after which he gave serious response and stating that he was just reacting to the situation.

“I don’t know. In reality, they were walking out, talking shit, throwing bottles. If you want to fight let’s fight”, McGregor said. “It was nothing. I don’t know what happened. I just defended myself and that’s it” he added.

McGergor and Diaz are both facing punishment from the Nevada Athletic Commission for being responsible in the said incident happened last Wednesday.

In an interview with Dave Sholler UFC Senior Vice President for Public Relations, both fighters won’t be fined or suspended by the UFC but will instead defer to the regulatory body sanctioning implemented by NAC.

However, according to Dana White both guys will get massive fines and probably undertake series of hearings after the fight scheduled on Saturday.

“There could be suspensions, community service. It’s gonna be ugly”, White said.

Reviewing the NAC statute 465.885, it is therefore stated that a fighter can be suspended or could have resulted to licensed being revoked if he or she is engaged in any activity or practice that is detrimental to the best interests of unarmed combat.

On the other hand, the supporting NAC statute stated that A person licensed by the Commission shall not engage in any activity that will bring disrepute to unarmed combat including but not limited to associating any person or entity if such association brings up disrepute to unarmed combat.

As end result, both McGregor and Diaz entourages have been banned from the rest of UFC events this week and only licensed corner individuals from both camps are allowed to participate.
