Trainer Nicky Henderson has announced stable star My Tent Or Yours will run in the Champion Hurdle at the 2018 Cheltenham Festival.

The 10-year-old is set to run in the race for a fourth time after a superb display last weekend at Cheltenham. He competed in a strong field over two miles and he was too strong for The New One and Melon. My Tent Or Yours has finished second in the Champion Hurdle on three occasions but Henderson believes he can go one better in 2018.

Stablemate Buveur D’Air will also be entered in the race and Henderson admits that connections are not just deciding if they need warm-up races. He told Racing UK: “We haven’t discussed where we go next. Buveur D’Air is going to Kempton for the Christmas Hurdle. “I’m not sure who’ll be there but I can’t see the need to run him [My Tent Or Yours] again there.

“Last year the amazing thing was he did go Cheltenham, Aintree, Punchestown. Most horses can’t cope with that and very often don’t come back, but it was a testament to this horse. He went to all three and was second in all three and has come back as friendly as ever. “He’ll go for the Champion Hurdle but what we do between now and then, I don’t really know.

“There are recognised Champion Hurdle trials. Buveur D’Air will go to Kempton and probably one more in between before Cheltenham. We’ll have to find Tent another slot.”

Buveur D’Air is second favourite at odds of 3.25, while My Tent Or Yours is an outsider at odds of 17.00
