Connections for Kiyoshi have confirmed the filly will return to action in the Moyglare Stud Stakes on September 1.
Kiyoshi has not raced since winning the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot back in June, but the horse will head over to Ireland at the start of next month for the race.
Racing manager David Redvers says there were a number of options they could have taken with Kiyoshi but they are keen for her to race in a fillies’ only heat over seven furlongs.
Racing Kiyoshi before the Moyclare could also hinder her chances of winning the race and that is not a risk Redvers is willing to take.
“Kiyoshi has done exceptionally well since Royal Ascot, and is looking like a three-year-old colt,” he said.
“It’s quite a wait between that race and the Moyglare, but we wanted a Group One race over seven furlongs and against fillies.
“There were options such as the Group Two Debutante Stakes this coming Sunday, the Group Three Prix du Calvados at Deauville, or we could have taken on colts in the Group Two Futurity Stakes, but we believe she is a Group One filly and rather than jeopardise our chances in the Moyglare, we have decided to wait for that race.”
