West Ham boss Slaven Bilic described his side’s extra-time success over Liverpool in their FA Cup fourth-round replay on Tuesday as a ‘special night’ for the club.

Angelo Ogbonna’s goal in the 121st minute of the match handed the Hammers a 2-1 victory at Upton Park, and with it a fifth-round tie against Championship outfit Blackburn.

It was the third time the Irons had beaten Liverpool this season, following their respective 2-0 and 3-0 triumphs in the Premier League, and Bilic hailed their latest success.

He said: “It is a special night. Yes, tomorrow is a new day and we have to concentrate on Norwich tomorrow, but tonight there is no harm at all in saying this is a special night for our club.”

The east London team, who are looking to secure their first FA Cup triumph since 1980, have now reached the fifth round of the competition for the second successive season and they will fancy their chances of progressing even further when they travel to Ewood Park on February 21.

The Hammers must first turn their attention back to league action, where they will face the relegation-threatened Canaries at Carrow Road on Saturday.

The two teams played out a 2-2 draw when they met at Upton Park in September and it is Norwich who are the favourites to win Saturday’s match at 2.38. West Ham are on offer at 3.10 and the draw is priced at 3.30.
