West Ham are preparing a bid for Paris Saint-Germain forward Hugo Ekitike, who has been deemed surplus to requirement.
The striker, just a season after joining the club last summer on an initial loan now looking to exit.
Reports from France say the two clubs are currently in direct contact over working out a prospective transfer.
PSG made his loan move permanent at the end of last season through PSG’s league position.

L’Équipe reported that the 21-year-old forward now looks set to leave the French capital as he finds playing time hard.
Having been among the group of players told to find new clubs at the start of last month, his exit is imminent.
Since the former Reims striker is yet to declare his next destination, PSG could use him as a makeweight in a potential deal to bring French international Randal Kolo Muani in from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Ekitike is under contract with the Ligue 1 champions until 2027.
According to reports, the Premier League club is set to put forward a proposal structured as an initial loan deal with an easily achievable permanent clause set at €35m.

Ekitike could only score four goals in all competitions last season – having mostly found himself in the shadow of PSG’s star attacking trident of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar.

With Neymar and Messi out of the club, PSG looks forward to signing another striker after the arrival of Goncalo Ramos.
The Paris Club has been linked with many strikers after the departure of Messi and Neymar.

Although they have signed Manuel Ugarte, Marco Asensio, Milan Skriniar, Kang-in Lee, Lucas Hernandez, Arnau Tenas, and Ramos, they’re yet to record their first win of the season after drawing their first two games.

The Ligue 1 champions are currently 11th on the log with two points, while Monaco are on top with 6 points.
