Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has told his players to keep themselves grounded after they continued their sensational quest for the Premier League title this season.

Spurs welcomed Swansea City to White Hart Lane on Sunday requiring a victory to keep themselves in striking distance of table-toppers Leicester City, who defeated Norwich City 1-0 a day earlier.

January arrival Alberto Paloschi opened the scoring for the Welsh outfit but goals from Nacer Chadli and Danny Rose completed a comeback 2-1 win for the hosts.

That result has kept Tottenham in second, just two points behind the Foxes, but they have also managed to create a three-point gap to Arsenal in third, who lost 3-2 to Manchester United at Old Trafford.

With just 11 games to go this season there is a real optimism that Pochettino’s men could go on to win the title and the victory over Swansea was their sixth successive Premier League triumph.

The Argentine boss is refusing to talk about potential glory at the moment and he has instead warned his players to keep focused and take it game-by-game.

“We believe we can win every game and we’ll see what happens,” he told reporters. “Now, we need to focus again. We have a strong squad and we will try to manage it in the right way.”

Spurs are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to West Ham United and this will be no easy task with the Hammers still in the hunt for a Champions League spot.

The hosts, who are quoted 34.00 to finish in the top four, are priced 3.75 to clinch all three points, the draw is on offer at 3.30 while the visitors are 2.00 favourites to record a seventh straight success.
