Mauricio Pochettino believes his Tottenham Hotspur squad have the strength in depth needed to challenge for three trophies in the coming months.

He was speaking after seeing his Spurs side win 2-0 at Leicester City in an FA Cup third-round replay on Wednesday, a victory which sets up a trip to League One Colchester United in round four.

And Pochettino believes that a triumph at the King Power Stadium, with a much-changed team from the one which thrashed Sunderland 4-1 in the Premier League last weekend, sends out a big message about the capabilities of his back-up players.

The Argentinian told reporters: “The FA Cup is an important competition for us and we showed we have a squad that is good enough to compete in every competition.

“We have also the Premier League and Europa League and I think it is very important to keep the squad fit and working hard – the FA Cup is very important for this.”

Spurs currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League table and are only five points behind leaders Arsenal and Leicester City.

In the Europa League they have been handed a tricky tie in the round of 32, where they will take on Italian outfit Fiorentina, who are also in fourth place in their domestic league.

Next on the agenda for Pochettino and Tottenham, though, is a London derby at Crystal Palace on Saturday, with a Heung-Min Son strike having given Spurs a 1-0 win at White Hart Lane earlier on this season.

The Lilywhites are available at 2.15 to win at Selhurst Park on Saturday, while they can be backed at 15.00 to be crowned Premier League champions.
