Swansea City winger Modou Barrow is interested in extending his loan stay at Blackburn Rovers.
The 22-year-old has moved to Ewood Park on a three-month loan deal but would not be averse to staying longer as he accepts it is difficult for him to break into the first team at Swansea.
Barrow only started one Premier League match for Garry Monk’s side last season following his move from Swedish side Norrkoping 12 months ago.
He was sent out on loan to Nottingham Forest towards the end of last term where he featured in four matches and is keen to play more games for Blackburn.
Barrow came on as a substitute as Rovers crashed out of the Capital One Cup to Shrewsbury Town this week and could feature against Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
Rovers, 67.00 to win the Championship this season, are 2.80 to beat the Terriers.
Barrow, who was born and raised in West Africa before moving to Sweden when he was 10 to live with his father, said: “The people here and the lads in the team have been nice to me, so I’ve found it good.
“Swansea have a lot of good players and their squad is big now so the most important thing for me is to get 90-minute game experience, so when I do go back, I’m 100 per cent ready.
“If the Swansea squad is still strong, and they have no injuries, and they are still doing well, then hopefully maybe I can stay here because I really like it. I just want to do well for the team.”
