Mohamed Salah has enjoyed a successful start to his Liverpool career and he expects to win silverware with the club in the near future.

The Egypt international only joined the Reds from Roma for a reported club-record £38million during the summer and he has emerged as one of the signings of the season, scoring 20 goals in all competitions, including 14 in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old is now targeting winning trophies with Liverpool, although the Anfield outfit have not claimed any silverware since winning the League Cup in 2012, while they have not won the league title since 1990. “As a team, I know we haven’t won the Premier League for a long time, so I would love to win it with Liverpool,” he told the club’s official website.

“We have a great team, we have a great manager, so everything is good at the club – and I am sure we can win trophies here together.” A Premier League title challenge seems unlikely this term, as Jurgen Klopp’s side are already 18 points behind runaway leaders Manchester City, but they have made it through to the Champions League knockout stages, where they will face Porto in the New Year.

Liverpool are five-time winners of Europe’s premier club competition, with their last success coming in 2005, and they are priced 13.00 to go all the way and lift the trophy this season.
