The Reds warmed up for their clash with West Ham United by playing Torino in a friendly on Tuesday evening.

They won 3-1 but Klopp only had one fit centre-back available in Virgil van Dijk. Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan are all currently injured, and that meant that midfield duo Fabinho and Marko Grujic had to fill in on occasions. Despite the selections woes, the former Borussia Dortmund coach insists his team will be fine when they welcome the Hammers to Anfield.

“I think (Joe Gomez) is OK. It is nothing serious but it was not possible tonight as he played on Saturday,” said Klopp. “Dejan (Lovren) is in but he’s not had a long holiday [after the World Cup final].

For Raggy (Klavan) and Joel it is probably not good enough as they are not fit for the weekend but we don’t need 12 centre-halves.”

Midfielder Jordan Henderson is also a doubt after returning to training last weekend but Klopp has refused to rule him out just yet. He added: “I am not sure but it is Hendo. In his first session he looked like he trained the whole three weeks completely. “He was in a really good shape so we thought a few minutes tonight would be possible. He is a very important option but I have no clue what we will do at the weekend.”

Liverpool are 1.25 to win this weekend, with the draw 6.00, while West Ham are priced at odds of 12.00.
