Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has moved to quash speculation he will depart the Bundesliga champions this summer.

The former Barcelona boss has been linked with a potential move to England, with rumours suggesting Manchester City could be eyeing him up as a replacement for Manuel Pellegrini.

Guardiola has suggested he will remain in Germany and on Monday he once more sought to clarify his determination to remain in Munich next season.

“Boys, I have said it 200 million times that I have one more year on my contract here,” the Spaniard told reporters ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final, return leg against Barcelona in Munich.

“Next season I will be here and that’s all there is to it,” added Guardiola, who won the domestic double last season and the league title in the current campaign.

Guardiola did not enjoy his return to the Nou Camp last week as Lionel Messi inspired Barcelona to a 3-0 first leg success, leaving Luis Enrique’s team with one foot in the Champions League final.

Bayern are priced at 2.54 to win the return clash in Germany, with Barcelona at 2.63 and the draw at 3.38.

Guardiola is aware his team cannot afford any lapses in concentration if they are to keep their European dreams alive.

Guardiola said: “Barcelona are strong on the break. If we let something slip, they’ll punish us.

“We have to defend well. We can’t go on the all-out attack. We have to control the game.

“We’re Bayern – before a game I’ve never said that we have no chance.
Of course we do.”
