Blackburn boss Owen Coyle says he is desperate to keep the confidence flowing within his squad following their recent upturn in form.

After losing their two games immediately before the international break, Rovers have taken four points upon their return, drawing with Ipswich and winning against Nottingham Forest.

That has been enough to move them out of the bottom three and they will be hoping to continue that run when they travel to Bristol City on Saturday.

City themselves are enjoying a much more productive campaign, currently sitting seventh but have lost their last two and will be desperate to get back on track. Blackburn are 4.75 to win the game, with the draw priced at 3.75 and the Robins 1.75.

The competitive nature of the Championship means momentum is often the key to progress and with both sides needing the points for differing reasons, it could be a hugely entertaining affair at Ashton Gate.

Coyle admits he has been encouraged by the spirit within the camp and believes finding ways to maintain his squad’s optimism will be vital to their chances of survival.

“The players should be feeling good about themselves in terms of how hard they’re working and we’ve got to keep bringing that every game,” he said.

“We’re trying to build that feel good factor and that environment at the training ground and the stadium. “It doesn’t happen overnight and you have to keep driving forward and knowing the plan and the vision you have.”

Blackburn are currently 15.00 to repeat the 2-1 win they secured against Forest in Saturday’s game against the Robins.
