Moussa Dembele has given a huge boost to Celtic after dismissing reports of a move away and insisting his long-term future is with the Scottish champions.

Dembele arrived in Glasgow this summer on a free transfer from Championship outfit Fulham and the forward has been in sensational form since.

The France Under-21 international has scored 12 times from 17 appearances across all competitions, with two of these coming against Manchester City in the 3-3 Champions League draw.

His impressive performances have helped the Bhoys go clear at the top of the league table whilst they are still in with a chance of getting third place in their European group.

Recent reports have linked a number of clubs with a January move for the 20-year-old with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal all said to be showing an interest.

Celtic fear they could lose Dembele when the next transfer window opens but the prized asset has reaffirmed his commitment to the club.

“My job is to get Celtic the best results possible and score as many goals as possible,” he told the Glasgow Evening Times.

“Celtic is the best club for me. Not just for a few years. For a few years and more. “That’s why I came here. I didn’t come here to stay just for a few years.

I came here for the long term.” Celtic, under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers, are once again the firm favourites to win the league and they will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten run at home to Motherwell on Saturday.

The hosts are 1.13 favourites to clinch all three points, a draw is priced at 9.50 whilst the visitors are the outsiders at 23.00.
