Leicester City captain Wes Morgan has warned their Champions League rivals that they will able to continue producing the goods in their first appearance in the competition.
The Foxes shocked the world of football last season by winning the Premier League and they will now compete in Europe’s elite competition for the first time.
Claudio Ranieri’s men will open their campaign against Club Brugge on Wednesday night, with just 20,000 expected at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
Plenty of Club Brugge’s fans have been unimpressed by Leicester’s standards and Morgan believes it could play into his side’s hands.
The former Nottingham Forest centre-back is confident that his side will continue to upset teams if they overlook them in the coming weeks.
“If they take us lightly then it’s only to our advantage,” he told reporters.
“I’m sure that won’t be the case but we have to be prepared for whatever is thrown at us.
“If teams look at us and maybe think we’re a weaker team than they could have got I don’t think that’ll be wise. We want to go out there, show what we’re capable of and prove what we can do.
“Our style is a different style and I’m not sure teams will be prepared for that. It’s a good group in terms of the travelling but we can’t take the teams for granted, they are big teams with a lot of experience and we need to be ready for whatever comes up against us.”
Club Brugge are currently priced at odds of 3.00 with Dafabet, with the draw 3.30, while Leicester are available at 2.50.
