Barcelona coach Luis Enrique remains confident his side can still win the La Liga title this season, despite their poor form continuing with a 2-1 defeat to Valencia on Sunday.

The loss at Camp Nou means Barca have taken just one point from their last four league games and they remain top of the table by virtue of their superior head-to-head record over Atletico Madrid, while Real Madrid are only a point further back.

The Blaugrana were also knocked out of the Champions League by Atleti last week and they now could miss out on winning a trophy altogether this season, after seemingly being on course for a repeat treble just a couple of weeks ago.

Enrique remains confident his side can still secure league glory, as he knows Barca will be crowned champions if they win all of their remaining five league games.

He told reporters: “We still depend on ourselves. Our margin for error has run out and we are aware of the challenge. Now we have a marvelous challenge, five games in which if we win them all we are champions.”

The 45-year-old was keen to defend his side after their latest defeat at Camp Nou, as he believes the performance levels were a vast improvement on recent weeks.

He added: “Luck didn’t shine on the team. I congratulate my players for how they faced the adversity during the game.”

Barca are next in action when they take on Deportivo La Coruna at the Riazor on Wednesday and they are available at 1.25 to return to winning ways in the match, while Depor are on offer at 10.00 and the draw is priced at 6.00.
