Liverpool youngsters Kevin Stewart, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn have all committed their long-term futures to the club by signing new contracts.

Defensive midfielder Stewart has already established himself as part of Jurgen Klopp’s first-team, making 17 appearances for the club, including four in the Premier League this season.

Versatile full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is less established in the first-team, but he did impress on his debut for the club during last month’s EFL Cup victory over Tottenham.

Forward Woodburn is yet to make his senior bow, but at 17 years old he is seen as one of the club’s brightest academy prospects.

Klopp is certainly delighted that the trio have committed their futures to the Reds, and he believes they can all enjoy successful careers with the club’s first-team.

The German coach said: “This is really positive news and it’s brilliant we have acted decisively to show our intent with our young players.

“With Kev it is maybe a little different. He is of course established with us now and making a contribution as an important member of our first-team squad. “Trent spends most of his time with the first team in this moment and is progressing each and every day.

Ben is in those earlier stages and has a lot of developing to do still – but wow, what an exciting talent he is.”

The trio will be hoping to continue their progress with the Premier League leaders over the coming months, with Liverpool’s next match, away at Southampton, coming up on November 19.

The Merseysiders are available at 2.05 to secure all three points from St Mary’s Stadium, while the Saints are priced at 3.40, as is the draw.
