Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale insists the club’s main objective this season is to claim La Liga glory.

Los Blancos have not been crowned champions of Spain since 2012 and they have had to watch on as rivals Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have monopolised the division over the last four years.

Wales international Bale only moved to Bernabeu in 2013 and he is yet to taste La Liga glory, something that he is keen to amend during the current campaign.

“It’s important that we win LaLiga, it’s something we haven’t won in a long time so that’s our objective,” he said.

Zinedine Zidane’s side have won their opening two matches of the new league season against Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo, and they will be hoping to continue that 100 per cent start when they play host to Osasuna on Saturday, although Bale is expecting a tough test against the newly-promoted side.

He continued: “I’m excited to play Osasuna this weekend, they’ll make things different for us but it’ll be great because the whole team is in good form.”

Bale, who has won two Champions League crowns during his time in Madrid, insists the club will not be solely prioritising league glory this season, as they also have ambitions to win every competition they enter during the campaign.

“However, obviously we are aiming to win everything and we believe we are strong enough,” he added.

Real are available at 1.04 to secure all three points on Saturday, while Osasuna are priced at 41.00 and the draw is on offer at 15.00.
