Karim Benzema has again rejected speculation linking him with a move away from Real Madrid and has insisted he is happy at the club.

The striker was mentioned as a potential target for Arsenal before the close of the window, despite his insistence that he was content with life at the Bernabeu and did not want to leave.

Los Blancos did not receive a bid for the 27-year-old and he is now set for a sixth season at Real alongside the likes of Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Spanish giants have made a mixed start to the campaign, drawing on the opening weekend away at Sporting Gijon before crushing Real Betis 5-0 on their second outing of the season.

Real are currently 2.63 to win La Liga, with bitter rivals Barcelona at 1.57, while former champions Atletico Madrid are 15.00 to top the standings again.

Next up for Real after the international break is a trip to Catalonia to take on Espanyol, a game they are 1.25 to win, while the draw is 5.50 and their opponents are 10.00 to take the points.

Having made a scoring a return to the side following injury in the clash against Betis, Benzema is again likely to start and has once again insisted he is fully committed to the side.

“Nothing happened in the transfer market [over the summer],” he told Telefoot. “I’m happy at Real Madrid, they’re the best club in the world and I’ll continue working hard to remain happy.”
