Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta believes Inter Milan are the biggest threat to his side’s recent dominance of Serie A ahead of the new season.

Inter have made a number of big signings during the summer transfer window and have made improvements throughout the team.

Boss Roberto Mancini has brought in the likes of striker Stevan Jovetic from former club Manchester City, defender Miranda from Atletico Madrid and combative midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia from Monaco.

The Nerazzurri finished eighth in Serie A last season, over 30 points adrift of Juve, but Marotta believes they are legitimate Scudetto contenders in 2015-16.

“I would say our big rivals are Inter – I’m impressed with them,” he told reporters. “Considering their investments, they absolutely should be considered a real competitor for the Scudetto.”

Juve landed a fourth successive Italian league crown last term and finished 17 points ahead of nearest rivals Roma.
The Turin outfit open their Serie A account against Udinese on Sunday August 23, while Inter host Atalanta on the same day.

Juve are 1.53 to win the Serie A title outright, Inter are 13.00 and Roma are available at 7.50.

Juve have also made some big signings during the summer with the captures of Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala, but there have been some notable departures as well, with Andrea Pirlo, Arturo Vidal and Carlos Tevez all moving onto pastures new.
