La Liga president Javier Tebas has said that Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé is destined to join Real Madrid.
Speaking in an interview with Movistar+.l, Tebas said he remains confident that the France captain has a 70 or 80 percent chance of playing in La Liga next season.

Before signing a two-year deal, Mbappe, who was about to be a free agent in the summer of 2022, was close to joining Real Madrid.

After opting to remain at PSG and extending his contract until 2024, he wants to leave the club.

PSG had insisted that they wouldn’t lose their best player for free, as they were ready to listen to huge offers for him
As his dream club, Madrid, didn’t bid for him, PSG gave the go-ahead for Mbappe to speak with representatives of the Saudi club after a bogus offer was tendered, but the 2018 World Cup winner is hell-bent on joining Galacticos.
There was an option for Mbappé to extend that deal until 2025, which he vehemently said he was not ready to activate and wanted to remain with the club till next summer.

This caused the French captain to be frozen out of the setup at Les Parisiens.

This also made the AS Monaco academy product be omitted from the team’s pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea and the Ligue 1 squad to face FC Lorient.

He was later reinstated into the team after a constructive meeting between both parties.

As things stand, Mbappe would leave as a free agent as Real Madrid have a long-standing interest and wasn’t necessarily willing to pay a large fee for a player that they could sign for free the following year.

The La Liga giant has had an upper hand since the striker had declared Real Madrid as his dream club.

The La Liga giant are therefore expected to begin a negotiation with him in January as he will be free to negotiate with any club as his current deal will have six months left on it.

He has so far scored six goals in eight games played so far this season.
