Marcus Thuram opened his goal account for Inter Milan as Nerazurri hammered Fiorentina 4-0 at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium.

Inter created several chances tote apart a tired Fiorentina to shreds with another Lautaro Martinez brace to catch AC Milan at the top of the Serie A table.

The Nerazzurri went into the game with a perfect record of zero conceded goals and continued with that after another rout of their visitors.

The Viola were coming from Thursday’s Conference League play-off victory against Rapid Vienna but looked tired in this game as it appears it came early.

This contrasted last season’s contest between teams, which included a 4-3 thriller, a 1-0 Fiorentina win at San Siro, and Inter taking the Coppa Italia Final.

The first real chance came from Giacomo Bonaventura’s long-range strike, which exceeded the bar.
Thuram received a pass from Nicolò Barella but fired off target from a tight angle.

The France striker eventually opened his inter-goal account when he got in front of Cristiano Biraghi for a diving header from six minutes as he met the perfect Federico Dimarco cross from the left.

Thuram failed to score a brace when Dimarco sent Alessandro Bastoni down the left to roll across, as the Frenchman couldn’t steer it on target as he came sliding in from six yards.

Inter continues the search for another goal as Bastoni surged forward again to sting Oliver Christensen’s gloves with a powerful strike, and Lautaro Martinez failed to find the target after volleying the rebound over.

The Danish goalie was again called into action when he made a big save from a trademark Hakan Calhanoglu rocket of a free kick.

Thuram could scored after sliding in for what should’ve been a tap-in because Dumfries had over-hit the assist.
Despite Vincenzo Italiano bringing on M’Bala Nzola and RiSottil in the second half, it did little to boost the team after a dire first-half performance.

Fiorentina had to hang on for dear life when a Dumfries angled drive got deflected onto the upright. A few minutes later, Lautaro Martinez’s header clipped the near post from point-blank range.

Their pressure eventually paid off via a chaotic move. Thuram added an assist to his earlier goal when he sent Martinez through for a powerful right-foot finish inside the area.

Thuram again secured a penalty for the hosts, as Christensen, who fumbled a Dimarco strike, brought down Thuram on the rebound.

Hakan Calhanoglu confidently stepped up to convert the spot kick to make the scoreline 3-0.
After another angled drive from Thuram skimmed the far post, Fiorentina finally got a shot on target with Riccardo Sottil twice testing Yann Sommer on a snapshot and looping header.

Inter then wrapped up 5he game with their fourth of the day as Juan Cuadrado rolled across from the right for Martinez, who got in front of his marker to fire into the roof of the net from six yards.
