Moussa-Sissoko-to-Everton

Everton are reportedly in a two-way battle with Inter Milan for the signature of Newcastle United’s Moussa Sissoko as the midfielder edges closer to an exit from St James’ Park.

Sissoko has been linked with a move away ever since the Magpies were relegated from the Premier League to the Championship last season and there are rumoured to be numerous teams eyeing a deal.

Arsenal were said to be in the running while Spanish giants Real Madrid are still being linked with a potential offer.

However, Everton and Inter are reportedly leading the battle for the France international and the pair are locked in a transfer tussle.

Ronald Koeman, who took over at Goodison Park earlier this summer, is looking to add more strength to his squad before the window closes and Sissoko is a key target.

The Newcastle midfielder impressed for Les Bleus at Euro 2016 and his impressive work-rate, along with some barnstorming forward runs, increased his stock massively.

However, the North East outfit are still refusing to budge on their £35million valuation and that could be a huge stumbling block in any deal.

But, according to reports, the Magpies are interested in Everton left-back Brendan Galloway and Koeman may look to use it to his advantage in any negotiations.

The Merseysiders started their Premier League campaign with a 1-1 draw against Tottenham and next up is an away trip to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

The Baggies are 2.80 to pick up the win, the draw is priced at 3.20 while the visitors are the slight 2.50 favourites to clinch their first victory.
