Everton striker Arouna Kone has revealed his desire to go all the way in the Europa League this season ahead of Thursday’s clash with Swiss outfit Young Boys.
The Toffees have not really got going in the Premier League this season and are out of both domestic cup competitions.
However, their form in Europe has been much better as they topped their group, losing just once in six outings.
Everton‘s reward was a meeting with Young Boys in the round of 32, travelling to Switzerland for the first leg before hosting the return tie at Goodison a week later.
Kone is keen to see the squad continue their good form in the competition as they look to raise confidence levels.
The former Wigan man has struggled with injuries since making the move to link up with Roberto Martinez, but he has been handed chances as the season has progressed.
The Ivorian insists now that he is fit again he will be looking to have a positive impact in Europe as they look to go all the way.
Kone said: “I’m really happy that we got through the group stages and that now I will have a chance to play more games in this competition.
“I’m excited about that prospect and hopefully we can go as far as we possibly can in the knockout phase of the tournament.”
Everton can be backed at 2.39 to secure the win on Thursday, while Young Boys are priced at 2.89 to come out on top on their own patch.
