Europa League: Juventus secure late draw against Sevilla in Turin

Juventus secured a 1-1 draw against Sevilla in the semi-finals of the Europa League in a match that looked like they would lose.

With what looked to be the game’s last action, Juve secured a 97th-minute equalizer through Federico Gatti.

The striker then rolled the ball across to find Youssef En-Nesyri in acres of space to sweep in with the inside of the boot from 12 yards, relatively undisturbed.

En-Nesyri could have doubled Sevulla’s advantage when he risked another on the counter, but a heavy touch allowed Szczesny to save.

Sevilla had to take Ocampos off after losing Hik5 to an injury.

En-Nesyri got another chance, but his shot skimmed the upright from a distance as Juve was jeered off the field at the break.

To offer a more attacking threat, Max Allegri had to throw on Federico Chiesa and Samuel Iling-Junior to bring pace and attacking threats on the wings, moving to a 4-4-2.

Juve skipper Leonardo Bonucci was removed during his 500th appearance in the Bianconeri jersey ended early as he limped off with a groin injury.

With the last kick of the game, Juve were awarded a corner that Paul Pogba nodded back from the far post for Gatti to head in from point-blank range.
