Christian Benteke’s agent, Eris Kismet, is adamant there have been no offers for the striker despite reports linking him with a summer move.

The Belgium international has been linked with moves to Liverpool and Manchester United in the past but nothing ever materialised.

Benteke missed the World Cup last summer after rupturing his Achilles and his early league form was effected as a result. However, the powerful forward has recently returned to his best to help the club under new manger Tim Sherwood.

He scored a hat-trick in the thrilling 3-3 draw against fellow Premier League relegation candidates Queens Park Rangers, before getting the winner against Tottenham.

The Villains, 9.00 to be relegated with Dafabet, are now 15th in Premier League table but they sit just two points above the drop zone.

Sherwood’s side have also reached the FA Cup final thanks to a 2-1 win over Liverpool thanks to Benteke, who is solely focused on the Midlands outfit according to Kismet.

The 24-year-old’s contract expires in two years time and Kismet insists his client is desperate to help the club survive rather than look at a potential summer move.

He told Sky Sports News HQ: “At the moment, there is no interest.

“Every player and staff member is concentrated on avoiding relegation, anything else is just a distraction.

“I know everyone wants the same thing because I watch the games and I think Aston Villa are playing the best football in England right now.”
