Celtic boss Ronny Deila doubts anyone will be able to stop his side winning the Scottish Premiership after they brushed aside Motherwell to go top of the table.

The Old Firm giants have been playing catch up for most of the season, with their efforts in Europe meaning they have been behind their rivals in terms of games.

Aberdeen had been leading the way but a 4-0 victory for Celtic on Wednesday night saw the Bhoys climb back to their familiar place at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

Goals from Virgil van Dijk, Leigh Griffiths and a brace by Mikael Lustig were enough to see Celtic cruise past ‘Well and Deila was not short of confidence regarding his side’s prospects after the full-time whistle.

He said: “We want to be number one and now everything is in our hands. If we win every game we are champions.

“That’s the best position we can have. There are a lot of games to come, so we just have to keep on performing like today.

“In Scotland, Celtic can win every game. We are favourites whoever we meet, wherever we meet.”

The return of Scotland internationals James Forrest and Charlie Mulgrew was certainly a big boost for Celtic against Motherwell and now the Hoops look forward to a trip to the Highlands to face Ross County in Dingwall on Saturday.
