Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri was ‘satisfied’ with his side’s 0-0 draw against Copenhagen on Wednesday night, as the Foxes edged closer to qualification for the Champions League knockout stages.

The stalemate at Telia Parken moved Ranieri’s men on to 10 points from their opening four European matches this season while they are still yet to concede a goal.

The Italian was pleased with side’s performance in the Danish capital, particularly as Copenhagen have not lost on home soil since August 2015, although he felt the pitch left a lot to be desired.

“At the beginning we slipped a lot, it was very dangerous but fortunately everything is okay. Another clean sheet, I am very satisfied,” he said, “Here in Copenhagen against a good team, they are very well organised.

I repeat, in front of their fans they pushed a lot but we stopped them very well with good character and personality and I am very satisfied.”

The reigning Premier League champions now need to pick up just a point in their next European match against Club Brugge at the King Power Stadium later this month to secure progress into the last 16, but Ranieri is targeting nothing short of victory against the Belgian outfit.

He added: “It’s good, now our mind in Champions League is about Brugge. Now there is a big challenge between Copenhagen and Porto. It’s not easy, but Brugge want to do something.

“For us it’s important to achieve three points and go to Porto very calm, and be first in the group.”

Leicester are available at 1.14 to finish top of Group G while they are priced at 41.00 to go on and win the Champions League this season.
