Chelsea captain John Terry believes new team-mate Radamel Falcao can regain his old goal scoring form during his time with the Blues.

The Colombian international moved to Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan deal from Monaco this summer having endured a difficult time during a year-long stint at Manchester United last term.

The 29-year-old only managed to find the back of the net on four occasions in the league for Louis van Gaal’s side last term, but despite this Terry believes he has seen enough to be convinced the Colombian will shine in West London.

He said: “Now I have seen him first hand in training on a daily basis and his finishing is unbelievable. I think if he gets a run in the side he can reproduce his form of the past.”

The former England international revealed that the forward is determined to help the club win trophies this season and he believes that his goals could prove vital in helping them add to their league triumph of the last campaign.

He continued: “He wants us to win things and if we are to win things he is going to have to score a lot of goals. We are hoping that it is a great combination and he does really well for us.”

Jose Mourinho’s side finished eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table last season and they have been installed as the 2.63 favourites to secure another title in the upcoming campaign, with Falcao available at 29.00 to finish at the top of the goal scoring charts.
