Harry Kane has posted a coy message on social media following Tottenham’s final preseason fixture before the new Premier League campaign kicks-off. The 30-year-old striker, who faces an increasingly uncertain future in north London, scored four goals in a tremendous 5-1 win over Shakhtar Donetsk on August 6.

Following his impressive performance – and one which could be his final for the team – Kane returned to the pitch for a lap of honor, applauding all four stands of the Spurs Stadium. While the England international fueled doubt over his future in doing so, he seems to have since put any speculation of a departure to bed with a post on Instagram.

“Ramping it up,” wrote Kane, suggesting that he may stay at Tottenham. Unsurprisingly, the comment section was filled with Tottenham and Bayern Munich supporters begging the striker to stay and leave, respectively.

After the friendly against the Ukraine outfit, manager Ange Postecoglou was quizzed on Kane’s future and remained coy when he was asked if the striker will be used against Brentford. The Bees will welcome Tottenham to Gtech Community Stadium on August 13, on the opening weekend of the new English top-flight season.

Despite significant interest from Bayern Munich, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy seems determined to hold onto Kane, who will not force an exit. For now, it remains to be seen whether the German giants will spend big on the Spurs ace.

Kane’s potential departure from Tottenham has been a topic of discussion due to several key factors, including ambition for trophies, age and peak performance, contract situation, interest from top clubs like Bayern Munich, Tottenham’s lack of progress, and the fact that many clubs could offer higher wages and financial incentives that could be appealing to a player like Kane.

While loyalty to Tottenham is important, financial factors can sometimes play a role in a player’s decision-making process.

It is essential to note that these are potential reasons why Kane could consider leaving Tottenham, but his actual decision will depend on various complex factors, including his personal motivations, the club’s stance, and the offers from interested parties. Ultimately, only Kane and the relevant parties involved will know the true reasons behind any potential transfer.
