Coach Niko Kovac looks set to call on experience as Bayern Munich prepare for a tense Bundesliga title race with Borussia Dortmund.
The Bavarians have not had things all their own way this season and trailed BVB by five points at one stage of the campaign.
However, they have turned things around to sit at the top of the table and lead by two points with just three matches to go.
Veteran wingers Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery have enjoyed stellar careers for Bayern but it seems as though the pair will be leaving Allianz-Arena at the end of the season.
Injuries mean that Dutchman Robben has made only nine top-flight appearances during the current campaign while France’s Ribery has started just 10 while playing the full 90 minutes on only two occasions.
It seemed as though fitness issues would mean the duo might not feature in the end-of-season run-in but Kovac has indicated that his stalwarts could return to play a vital role.
“I am very positive that the two of them will contest these four games alongside us,” he said. “We won’t throw everything over board in order to give someone a send-off, but we want to see that they get a few minutes on the pitch.”
Bayern face bottom side Hanover on Saturday and are 1.06 to take all three points with the opposition on offer at 41.00 and the draw 13.00.
Kovac’s men will also take on RB Leipzig in the final of the DFB-Pokal, a match set to bring down the curtain on the legends’ time at the club.
