Arsene Wenger has called on his team to “finish the job off” by winning the FA Cup against Aston Villa at Wembley on Saturday.

The Gunners, current FA Cup holders, have come through some tough ties to get back into another final including winning away at Manchester United in the last eight.

Now Wenger, who would collect his sixth FA Cup success as Arsenal boss should they win, has called upon his team to ensure they get over the line against Tim Sherwood’s Villains.

A year ago, Arsenal ended their nine-year trophy famine by defeating Hull City at Wembley – but only after the Gunners were forced to come back from two goals down early on.

Wenger says Arsenal must raise the trophy having worked hard to get back into the final.

“We went to Man United to qualify and we had to win big games to get there. Now we want to finish the job. The most important thing is that we come back home all together and happy,” said the Arsenal boss.

Whilst the Frenchman admits there was huge pressure on Arsenal to win a trophy last season, he says the squad are no less determined to win this time around.

“Maybe last year the expectation level was more demanding – the demand was absolute last year. But we have our own demands inside the group here and we have high expectation for our game on Saturday and we want to do it,” he told reporters.

Arsenal are 1.48 to defeat Aston Villa in the FA Cup final and 3.40 to win the match with both teams to score.
