Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has warned that Chelsea could run away with the Premier League title this season, with all their most likely challengers struggling for form.

The Frenchman was speaking after a 2-1 defeat at Swansea City left his side 12 points adrift of league leaders Chelsea, who are four points clear of the chasing pack and unbeaten in their opening 11 games of the season.

Manchester City are eight points back from the Blues after drawing 2-2 at QPR, with Manchester United a point worse off than the Gunners, while Liverpool have dropped into the bottom half of the table after a 2-1 loss to Chelsea.

All of which left Wenger to admit: “Chelsea are on course for 105 points. Look at the number of points they have and if they keep that up nobody will touch them, that’s for sure.

“It doesn’t look like anybody is capable of challenging them at the moment.”

Next up for Wenger’s men, following another international break, is a crunch showdown with Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday November 22, with the Gunners 2.33 to win the game and 3.21 to secure a draw.

The clash will see £16million Arsenal signing Danny Welbeck come face-to-face with his former club, with the England striker having scored five goals in 11 games since making the move from Old Trafford.

However, he has failed to find the net in any of his last four outings in all competitions, while team-mate Alexis Sanchez has six goals in his last four games.
