Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain insists he is looking forward to proving his worth when he prepares to return to Arsenal on Friday night.

The Reds will travel to the Emirates on Friday night in what could be the game of the weekend in the Premier League. Oxlade-Chamberlain will return to the Gunners for the first time since they sold him to Liverpool in the summer for £35million. He spent six years at Arsenal before deciding to leave for a new challenge and the England international is starting to find his form on Merseyside. The 24-year-old played a key role in Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Bournemouth on Sunday and he admits he wants to prove those that doubted him wrong.

He told Liverpool’s official website: “It will be a special occasion for me, full of emotion I’m sure. We’re in good form and we’ll be going there full of confidence and looking for three points. “I hope we can put together a good performance, fight all the way through the game and come out with the right result. “I feel like I’m settled in now and I’m learning the ropes and my roles and responsibilities. That’s always the thing that’s hard to adapt to. Once you get comfortable with that, you can start to relax more.

“I’ve been doing better and it has been coming, but there’s definitely more to come from me. And I’ll be doing everything I can to bring that out.”

Arsenal are priced at 2.40 to win, with the draw 3.60, while Jurgen Klopp’s troops are 2.80 to pick up all three points.
