Leicester boss Claude Puel has urged his side to bounce back from Saturday’s 4-1 defeat at home to Crystal Palace when they host to Brighton on Tuesday.

Palace opened the scoring through Michy Batshuayi late on in the first half and Jonny Evans levelled matters for the Foxes in the second period, but three goals in the final 20 minutes saw the visitors emerge with a comfortable win.

Puel accepts Leicester are struggling as their winless run was extended to seven games, with six defeats during that time. The Frenchman has pleaded with the fans to stick with the team and hopes his players respond when Brighton visit.
“Of course it is a difficult and worrying time,” he said. “Of course we are in difficulty. “We were in trouble at the end. It is normal for the fans to be worried, I understand this.

The players need confidence, they have played well without fair reward in the last few games.” He added: “The important thing is for the players to react in the next game and to have the support.

“We have to take confidence and support with our fans; it is a young team and we need to keep a positive attitude.

“I manage the pressure; the most important thing is my players. We are a young team and we have shown a lot of quality without a fair result.

We have to keep going.” Leicester are 1.91 to beat Brighton on Tuesday and 8.00 to win 2-0.
