Malaga midfielder Isco continued to flirt with prospect of securing a transfer after he revealed he is excited at possibility of joining Real Madrid.

Los Blancos are fighting an ongoing battle with Premier League side Manchester City with both clubs already lodging bids to try and acquire his services for next season.

Arsenal defender Naco Monreal stated in an interview last week that his former Malaga team-mate had already signed a contract with the capital club and it was only a matter of time until it was officially announced.

The Spain Under-21 is currently under contract with his hometown club until June 2016, but he has a limited buyout clause of £35million.

Madrid are reportedly prepared to pay £30million for the 21-year-old, while the deal will also contain promising Russia Under-21 international Denis Cheryshev, who has made over 100 appearances for Real Madrid B.

Malaga are unable to retain the man who has netted 14 times in 69 games due to their lack of finances, which have been in the public domain for some time, and will be looking to try and attain the right fee for the Under-21 European Championship winner.

Isco said: “Real Madrid are a club that excites me. They are one of the best teams in the world.”
