Olivier Giroud feels pressure will be felt by Tottenham Hotspur as season nears end.

The Arsenal striker believes their recent 3-1 victory over Norwich City provided more for Spurs to think about as the three points moved the Gunners to third place in the Premier League.

Despite going down 1-0 in the first half, three goals in a span of six minutes from Mikel Arteta, Giroud and Lukas Podolski gave Arsenal the victory and, more importantly, the points to almost secure a Champions League place.

Arsene Wenger’s men have now won seven of their last eight league matches, including four straight wins, and Giroud feels their superior form will help them put further pressure on Tottenham as the latter are still looking for their place in next year’s European competition.

“We never give up, and try to play until the end of the game; that’s one of our qualities,” the Frenchman told reporters.

“We had a little bit of luck and it’s so good to win this game because we can put the pressure on Spurs.

“We know that all games will be difficult to win so we have to continue to keep focussed and take one game after another and grab maximum points.”
