Olazabal will be in charge of the Continental Europe team and Torrance leads the Great Britain and Ireland side at St-Nom-La Breteche Golf Club, with the event running between October 3-6. McGinley is preparing to captain Europe in the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles next year but hopes Torrance can emulate his success in the Seve Trophy when he led GB&I to a 15.5-12.5 victory in the Seve Trophy in 2011. McGinley said: “I am delighted to name Jose Maria and Sam as captains. They are two men I have the utmost respect for and who I’ve benefited from over the years.
