On the final lap of the race, Webber stopped at the Marina Bay circuit and got a lift back to the pits on the side of Alonso?s Ferrari. Both drivers were punished for their part in the incident, with Webber reprimanded having ?entered the track without the marshal’s permission’. Alonso was also penalised after his decision to pick up Webber ?caused two cars to avoid action?. Last weekend?s incident was Webber?s third of the season and as a result he has been given a ten-placed grid penalty ahead of the next race in Korea.
