The world’s most expensive footballer was forced to miss Friday night’s defeat against Macedonia with the problem and is again doubtful for the Cardiff City Stadium showdown. Wales boss Chris Coleman says the former Tottenham flyer has gone for a scan and only when they get the results back will a decision be made on whether he plays some part. “We had a conversation with Gareth before the game, he had a tight groin from the day before and we could not take that chance,” he revealed. “As we speak he has gone to have another scan on it to clear his mind so he knows everything is alright.” Coleman is hopeful that Bale will be able to play some part against Serbia, but his new club Real Madrid will be hoping he does not play ahead of their game with Villarreal this weekend, when the 24-year-old will make his debut. “Gareth gets his move to Real Madrid, everything is positive,” Coleman added. “Then Gareth picks up a strain in training and can’t play in the game
