Several clubs including Southampton, Crystal Palace and West Ham United are believed to be keen to sign Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Saints manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is planning a major revamp of his squad and is reportedly ready to spend £30million to land Serbia international Mitrovic.

Mitrovic has netted 11 goals this season even though Fulham have been relegated from the Premier League. However, he has only found the net once – against Bournemouth – in his last 12 league appearances for the Cottagers.

The 24-year-old played a key role in helping Fulham secure promotion from the Championship last term, scoring 12 times in the second half of the campaign after moving to west London on loan from Newcastle United in January 2018. The move to Fulham was made permanent last summer.

Mitrovic joined Newcastle from Anderlecht almost four years ago and scored 14 goals in 65 league appearances for the Magpies.

Hasenhuttl is keen to add to his forward options as Southampton have only scored 44 goals in their first 37 top-flight games of the season.

Danny Ings and James Ward-Prowse are the joint top-scorers this term with seven goals while Shane Long and Nathan Redmond have found the net on five occasions.

Meanwhile, Fulham are reportedly keen to sign Gary Hooper who is available on a free transfer after being released by Sheffield Wednesday.

The 31-year-old had spells with Celtic and Norwich City before moving to Hillsborough, initially on loan, in October 2015.

Fulham are 2.50 to beat Newcastle on Sunday and 2.75 to lose to Rafa Benitez’s team.
